of our bridges, we are looking at that pea soup and it is going to stick around. good morning. i ran into very thick pea soup through marin county watch your speeds on the deck of the golden gate bridge limited ability the fog is thick. san mateo bridge good, fog at the bay bridge. north 680 car fire, westbound 205 roadwork at 11th street, a bit of slow traffic eastbound too due to roadwork. westbound pretty good up and over the altamont pass into the dublin-pleasanton area, 15 minute drive. we have developing news in oakland, police are investigating the city's latest fatal shooting. officers found a man with a gunshot wound before 1:00 this morning. he died at the hospital.

county judge is expected to decide if a teen will stand trial on charges of trying to kill a mill valley couple and steal a celebrity chef's lamborghini. 18-year-old max wade is charged with several felony counts. he stole the lamborghini to impress a girl then shot at her and boyfriend after she rejected him. he is also accused of resisting arrest, threatening officers. san francisco should find out later this morning whether it is in the running to host 2016 or 2017 super bowl. abc news has confirmed the city has put in a bid to host the super bowl in the bay area which would be played at the 9ers new stadium. nfl requires any host team plays two full seasons in new stadium to qualify. it would make 2016 the first year san francisco would be

eligible to host if city passes the first round it has to submit a plan by may 7th. more on the bid coming up in our next half hour. this thursday is 49ers game day on jerry rice and jones join us as abc news presents the 49ers pregame show followed by 9ers taking on the seahawks. after that they will stick around for a special edition of after the game. giants hope to rebond tonight and win first playoff game of the season at home. they lost game one last fight. bumgarner had a tough outing in the 6-4 loss to the cardinals. he left the game in the 4th after giving up a homerun. after the game fans were still keeping the faith. >> it was exciting. >> i thought we were gonna win,

but stuff happens. >> chris carpenter takes the mound this evening. first pitch 5:07. contra costa county sheriffs trying to unravel mysterious shooting deaths of two people on a rural road. amy hollyfield is live in martine . >> reporter: -- good morning the problem with this is not only have investigators not made arrests they don't have leads or witnesses. at this point it appears two people were killed and no one saw a thing except for the killer or killers. it happened about 5:25 last night. this was in an unincorporated area between pittsburg and antioch and buchanan road at ventura drive. one man was dead at the scene. also a woman who was shot, she was taken to the hospital, she later died.

good morning. not starting out with airport delays locally but that could change. a lot of dense fog around the bay area through oakland visibilities reduced to a quarter of a mile. elsewhere, southern california not bad, high pressure building in that is going to allow for a warm day today, also notice we are looking at a little cloudiness here. some of that in the north bay, that won't inhabit our warming. your voice your vote. over three weeks until election day new poll shows president obama and mitt romney are nearly dead even that means the stakes are high in tomorrow night's second of three debates. the stage is being set at hofstra university in hempstead, new york.

the longest serving and most respected u.s. senator. arlen specter served 30 years in the senate representing pennsylvania former chairman of senate judiciary committee and played a key role in many supreme court nominations. he became a democrat because he didn't think he would win the nomination in an increasingly conservative gop. he ended up losing the primary. the 82-year-old died at his home philadelphia from complications of non-hodgkin's limo . alvin roth -- and lloyd shapley were honored for their theory of stable allocations in market designs. roth has two degrees from stanford and teaches at harvard business school. the economics award is the sixth and final nobel award given out this year.

most of the evening hours. we are looking at numbers around the bay coming up from two to four degrees in the north bay, higher clouds because of a weather system to the north of us. overall, as you head out, we are 10° warmer in san jose three to six degrees warmer in napa. water vapor imagery, notice cloud cover staying north of the bay. as the system passes we will see higher clouds around the bay today, call it mostly sunny. second system will keep temperatures in check for the most part tomorrow. as that second system passes, the wind shifts offshore flow, numbers heating up all around, 70s coast today, 74 big sur, mid 80s in the sacramento valley and locally 75 vallejo, 84 live more, 76 palo alto, monterey bay starting out with fog, beautiful afternoon with 84 in gilroy. the high fire danger increases
